We are well and truly into winter now, with November fading behind us the nights are dark and the days so much shorter. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, there's always something special about giving someone a gift that they will love whatever the occasion so we've come up with some gift ideas for the yoga lover in your life to hopefully give you some inspiration:
How about a beautiful candle to set the atmosphere for their home practise? We particularly like this hand made soy candle from the lovely Art Disco. Be warned though - they have so many other wonderful things on their website you may end up buying more than just a candle!
Anyone who gets cold feet will love a pair of toe socks to keep their feet warm when practising in the winter months or when joining us for yoga by the sea on the sometimes not so warm Yorkshire Coast! Socks like these will keep your toes warm whilst still giving grip to help you into postures, we really like this colourful pair from toesocks.co.uk
If you are carrying your mat to class then a yoga mat bag will help keep it clean and compact and therefore much easier to carry whilst also looking good, there are lots to choose from but we like the simplicity of this one from www.yogastudio.co.uk
Everybody needs to keep re-hydrated so having a stylish water bottle on hand is a must have for any yoga lover. The jerry bottle range available at ecobeachshop.co.uk are both stylish and practical, these bottles also help fund clean water products around the world. They have double wall vacuum insulation so as well as keeping your water cold for 24 hours, if you want to take your tea with you they'll keep your cuppa hot for 12 hours.
We love a blanket to keep us warm during savasana so this will make a lovely gift especially for anyone joining us for yoga by the sea in the early or late summer when it's sometimes not as warm as we'd like it to be, this chranket blanket featuring all the seven chakra colours also folds into a comfy cushion which can help with some seated postures.
Whatever gifts you are giving or receiving we hope you all have a wonderful time during the festive season and wish you all the very best for the new year!
