What a summer!

Updated: Dec 4, 2020

The leaves on the trees are turning to the lovely shades of red, yellow and orange so we are well and truly heading into Autumn. The darker nights mean that this coming Tuesday is our final evening yoga by the sea session for summer 2020. The shorter days give us the added bonus of spectacular sunrises for our early morning sessions which will continue (weather permitting!) into late November.

As we move into Autumn I just wanted to take this opportunity to look back on a wonderful summer of yoga by the sea. Despite a late start the programme has been expanded with early morning sessions in Scarborough and Filey, along with a fortnightly evening session on the beach at Cayton Bay.

It's been great to see lots of faces from last summer returning and meet lots of lovely new people. Thank you to each and everyone of you who booked a yoga by the sea class this summer, it has been an absolute pleasure to share the practise of yoga with you all in the beautiful surroundings of the North Yorkshire coast.

We've been incredibly fortunate with the weather and amazingly have only had to cancel three classes due to inclement conditions. We have carried on with a little light rain for a couple of classes but all the rest were dry and mainly sunny, how very lucky we were.

My absolute highlight of the summer had to be the evening classes in Whitby on the 14th July when a large pod of dolphins played in the sea just offshore as we practised. It is so wonderful to see that the dolphins and whales are visiting in much larger numbers let's hope it continues for years to come and we are blessed with more visits for future classes.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has already completed my end of summer survey, your responses will really help me when planning the winter schedule. So far the overwhelming response to the question "Shall we continue through the winter?" has been a resounding -

YES!

So look out for the new winter by the sea schedule coming soon. If you haven't already completed the survey and would like to, you can do so below, thank you!
